Action Required – Stewardship Reporting – Midge Tolerant Wheat

Dear MTW Grower, 

Thank you for your continued commitment to the stewardship of Midge Tolerant Wheat (MTW). Your role in educating farmers and promoting responsible use of this technology is essential to its long-term success across Canada.

As part of our routine stewardship review, we noted that customer sales data may not yet have been submitted to the Midge Tolerant Wheat Stewardship Assurance Site (MTWSAS) for the 2025 crop year. These reports are now due.

To help ensure compliance, we would like to remind you of your key responsibilities under the Retailer Agreement:

- Ensure customers sign a Stewardship Agreement prior to receiving MTW seed.

- Submit customer sales data for all MTW varieties to the MTWSAS by June 30 each season.

- Maintain records and participate in stewardship audits or reviews, as required.
