Hello Ontario Members,

As SeCan strives to provide you with access to a team of leading seed industry professionals, we have adjusted staff roles and responsibilities for Ontario.

Starting this month, Shannon Bieman will provide marketing and sales coaching support to a broader member geography across both western and southwestern Ontario. With many years of experience in seed production, marketing, agronomy, and B2B sales with retailers, Shannon has a very strong skill set to serve as a direct point of SeCan sales contact for a larger member territory. Her new title is Marketing Representative, Ontario.

Willie Vanderpol will shift from providing sales support to members in the southwest to a more technical and communications support role across the province as Product Support Lead. Working on SeCan quality and packaging support, supply orders, and events will capitalize on Willie’s organizational and administrative strengths while allowing her to have a continued focus with breeding partners on new product acceleration.

Finer adjustments to the scope of Shannon and Willie’s redefined roles will evolve this summer. They both look forward to interacting with you and discussing how to best provide SeCan support to your seed business going forward.

Phil Bailey continues his role as Eastern Business Manager working directly with eastern Ontario, Quebec and Maritime members while concurrently overseeing Shannon and Willie’s roles. He also remains the key point of contact for herbicide tolerant soybean sales reconciliation.

As always, please feel free to contact myself, Phil, Shannon, or Willie anytime. We are happy to receive your feedback and address your questions.

Wishing you a great summer,

Jeff Reid
