SeCan will have an election for the Board of Directors at the 2025 Annual General Meeting - to be held virtually on June 25. This is the third and FINAL call for nominations to the SeCan Board of Directors. Nominations will close on May 23, 2025. The following directors have one year remaining to serve in their term: Ontario: Greg Hannam, Woodrill Ltd., Guelph, ON Manitoba: Craig Riddell, Riddell Seed Co., Warren, MB Alberta & BC: Ward Oatway, Oatway's Seed Farm, Clive, AB Western Region (MB, SK, AB, BC): Peter Entz, Winnipeg, MB These directors are up for election: Quebec & Atlantic Canada: Annie Bergeron, Semican, Princeville, QC – not seeking re-election Eastern Region (Atlantic, QC, ON): Rick Van Laecke, Horizon Seeds Canada Inc., Courtland, ON – seeking re-election Saskatchewan: Lyndon Olson, Seed Source, Archerwill, SK – seeking re-election Western Region (MB, SK, AB, BC): Marnie McLean, JS Henry Seeds, Oak River, MB – seeking re-election The Nominating Committee has proposed the following slate of nominees: Quebec & Atlantic Canada: Stéphanie Cormier, Eastern Grains Inc., Drummond, NB Eastern Region (Atlantic, QC, ON): Rick Van Laecke, Horizon Seeds Canada Inc., Courtland, ON Saskatchewan: Lyndon Olson, Seed Source, Archerwill, SK Western Region (MB, SK, AB, BC): Marnie McLean, JS Henry Seeds, Oak River, MB All nominees must sign a "Nominee Acceptance" form to be eligible for election.
