SeCan will have an election for the Board of Directors at the 2026 Annual General Meeting - to be held virtually on June 23. This is the third and FINAL call for nominations to the SeCan Board of Directors. Nominations will close on May 22, 2026. The following directors have one year remaining to serve in their term: Quebec & Atlantic Canada: Stéphanie Cormier, Eastern Grains Inc., Drummond, NB Eastern Region (Atlantic, QC, ON): Rick Van Laecke, Horizon Seeds Canada Inc., Courtland, ON Saskatchewan: Lyndon Olson, Seed Source, Archerwill, SK Western Region (MB, SK, AB, BC): Marnie McLean, JS Henry Seeds, Oak River, MB These directors are up for election: Ontario: Greg Hannam, Woodrill Ltd., Guelph, ON – seeking re-election Manitoba: Craig Riddell, Riddell Seed Co., Warren, MB – seeking re-election Alberta & BC: Ward Oatway, Oatway's Seed Farm, Clive, AB – seeking re-election Western Region (MB, SK, AB, BC): Amanda Ellis, Ellis Seeds, Wawanesa, MB – seeking re-election The Nominating Committee has proposed the following slate of nominees: Ontario: Greg Hannam, Woodrill Ltd., Guelph, ON Manitoba: Craig Riddell, Riddell Seed Co., Warren, MB Alberta & BC: Ward Oatway, Oatway's Seed Farm, Clive, AB Western Region (MB, SK, AB, BC): Amanda Ellis, Ellis Seeds, Wawanesa, MB All nominees must sign a "Nominee Acceptance" form to be eligible for election.
