Midge Busters 4 - Western Canada

Hello Midge Busters!

Based on the success of the last three seasons Midge Busters is back for a fourth year!

This year we plan two levels of participation:

1. Scout – the basic program – place the trap and do 10 counts (2 per week for 5 weeks from June 20-July 20)
2. Entomologist in development - the basic program above, plus place and count yellow sticky cards over the same 5 week period

We had great participation in 2023 and hope for the same level again in 2024! We all learn about the pest locally, plus support the efforts of Dr. Wist and his team to gain more information for forecasting and control of wheat midge.

If you are interested in participating – sign up here.

Note the traps are being supplied at no charge - all we ask is that traps sent be set up and counts taken.

We look forward to an engaging and informative Midge Busters season!

Wishing you a safe and efficient spring.
