Hello Western SeCan Members,
SeCan is extremely excited to offer BW5104 VB - an exciting new solid stem, midge tolerant semi-dwarf CWRS for spring 2024 (request for support form linked here).
Seed is on-route from a winter increase in New Zealand and should arrive in Canada in the next 3 weeks - ready for distribution early May. Because of the tight timeline between now and seeding, the application window is very condensed with a deadline of April 19 to apply for seed. I’ll have allocation notices done no later than April 26, so you’ll know what you’ll be getting as early as possible. We have a good supply of both Breeder and Foundation seed so apply for all the seed you think you’ll need. Note that final volumes allocated are dependant on the number of applications and size of each application. Everyone will get some seed, but until the application window closes and I do the breakdown, I can’t confirm how much seed you’ll receive.
Click here for the seed application or find it in My SeCan under Apply for Varieties.
Cheers,
Trent Whiting
