Western SeCan Members

SeCan is offering two Hulless barley varieties (HB20351 and HB21355) from the Crop Development Centre. HB20351 and HB21355 will be released together as an Exclusive Release.

With Exclusive Releases, distribution rights are granted to a single member (who may agree to work with additional members) within a domestic or international territory.

This release method is used for regionally specific varieties or those that offer limited differentiation from existing General Release varieties. Varieties made available for Exclusive Release would be expected to have limited demand if made available under the General Release process and are expected to experience greater uptake and sales by granting distribution to an individual SeCan member within a region. The variety offer is linked here.

Application Deadline is April 28, 2023.

The application form can be found here or on the Members Only side of our website under Forms and Applications.
