Nominations for SeCan Board of Directors

SeCan will have an election for the Board of Directors at the 2026 Annual General Meeting - to be held virtually on June 24.  

The Board is comprised of 8 directors. 5 directors representing the provinces: Alberta & BC; Saskatchewan; Manitoba; Ontario; Quebec & Atlantic Canada. In addition, there are 3 directors-at-large: 2 representing the western region (MB, SK, AB, BC)) and 1 representing the eastern region (Atlantic, QC, ON). 

There will be three (3) calls for nominations via email and nominations will close 30 days prior to the AGM. 

The following directors have one year remaining to serve in their term: 

Quebec & Atlantic Canada:

Stéphanie Cormier, Eastern Grains Inc., Drummond, NB 

Eastern Region (Atlantic, QC, ON):

Rick Van Laecke, Horizon Seeds Canada Inc., Courtland, ON  

Saskatchewan:

Lyndon Olson, Seed Source, Archerwill, SK   

Western Region (MB, SK, AB, BC):

Marnie McLean, JS Henry Seeds, Oak River, MB

Greg Hannam, Woodrill Ltd., Guelph, ON – seeking re-election 

Manitoba:

Craig Riddell, Riddell Seed Co., Warren, MB – seeking re-election

Nominations will close on May 22, 2026. Voting will occur at the AGM. 

All nominees must sign a "Nominee Acceptance" form to be eligible for election.
