APPLICATION DEADLINE JULY 14, 2026 New Variety Offer for Summer 2026

Hello Western SeCan Members, 

We have an exciting winter forage triticale - fully awnless! The deadline to apply is July 14.

Forage FX 1002 is an early maturity, tall, reduced awn/awnless winter triticale variety bred for forage production by Montana State University. Forage FX 1002 has been screened for winter hardiness and consistently produces forage and seed yields comparable to or exceeding leading forage crop varieties in dryland and irrigated areas throughout Montana. 

Online Seed Application Process

• Sign in to My SeCan 

• Go to: Apply for Varieties

• Click on the Seed Application button

• In the left-hand boxes:

• Crop Kind: Winter Triticale

• Variety: Forage FX 1002

• Class: Breeder, Foundation, Registered, Certified

• In the center section fill in the quantity being applied for and the default is KG. Breeder seed from Montana - shipping and packaging will depend on order sizes.

• Click “Next Item”

• At least one option needs to be selected in the sales history section, but you can do more if you wish.

• Finally, put your name in the box and hit Submit. 😊 

You should receive an email confirmation that the application has been submitted, and I’ll try to let you know I got it too. Please check your junk folder as the confirmation may go there.
