About this article
You are invited to join us for the SeCan Pense Crop Tour on Tuesday, July 28, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The tour should wrap up before noon.
Location:
Highway #1, from the Pense turnoff, travel 3 miles west to Keystown Road and 2 miles north, turn back east. There is an approach on the north side across from the coverall building. Please drive into the field and DO NOT park on the road, it is a very busy road (directions and maps here).
During the tour, we will be showcasing SeCan demonstration plots featuring:
-
7 durum varieties
-
12 wheat varieties
-
8 barley varieties
We'll also take a look at several of the small-plot trials currently underway at the site.
Joining us will be Dr. Tyler Wist (AAFC), who will be talking all things insects, including wheat stem sawfly, wheat midge, his sawfly research trials, and whatever other critters decide to make an appearance.
This will be a great opportunity to see new and established varieties in the field, discuss agronomic observations, and connect with fellow growers and industry partners. Feel free to bring any of your customers who may be interested.
Please contact Lauren Wensley, SeCan Marketing Representative for Saskatchewan, at 306-540-5640 for additional information or to let us know you'll be attending.
We look forward to seeing you there!
